In the book, The Beatles Day by Day A Chronology 1962-1989 by Mark Lewisohn (Harmony Books 1987, 1990), he has Jane Asher with Paul in Kenya via France and Spain from November 6-November 19, 1966. I found a photograph of Jane Asher that puts her in England on November 16, 1966.
At www.gettyimages.com/detail/3137594/Hulton-Archive there is a photo of her and actor Laurence Harvey during the filming of "The Winter's Tale", released in 1967. The caption says:
"Lithuanian born British actor, Laurence Harvey (1928-1973), filming his co-star Jane
Asher during the making of 'A Winter's Tale' (sic): (Photo by Larry Ellis/Express/Getty Images)."
People doing Paul-is-dead research point out that it was Paul's replacement in Kenya in 1966 and that he was accompanied by Mal Evans. Obviously, Jane Asher was in England.

- For original Beatles fans, 1966 was a strange year. The "Butcher" cover and John's "more popular than Jesus" comment signaled that something was wrong with The Beatles. By 1967, we heard a different voice than Paul's on Penny Lane and we saw a different face in photos. Most of us abandoned Beatle fandom. In 1969, the "Paul is Dead" clues surfaced and were so strong and consistent, that many people wondered if that was the answer to the puzzling changes in Paul's voice and looks. People have been looking into that possibility from 1969-on but have not been able to document what happened to Paul. My generation deserves to know the truths about the group that we loved and made famous. So the search is on . . .

True, Paul #2 took over from Paul #1. He was indeed in Kenya with Evans to have plastic surgery, ready for the substitute look! Jane was in England.
Why did she keep silent about the obvious changes she did notice, surely?
Actually, I think the Paul in Kenya was Paul #3 taking Paul #2's place.
As for Jane Asher, it's all very curious. She is the only major "actor" in the life of The Beatles (except for maybe Maureen Starkey) who has flatly refused to write about them. And she was around when Beatlemania was first beginning. Threats? Bribes? Who knows?
