Paul in France

I was reading the Chronology section of Bill Harry's book, The Paul McCartney Encyclopedia, (Virgin, 2002), and I found it curious that he mentioned Paul visiting France three times in the fall of 1966:
September 16 - with John and Brian Epstein for a weekend in Paris.
October 13     - with John for a weekend in Paris.
November 6   - visiting various chateaux in the Loire Valley.
If this was the real Paul, what was he doing there?
It's possible that Paul had negotiated an "out" from The Beatles and was thinking about settling in France.  My speculation is that he never made it.

So Paul had been in France on October 13 and November 6.. But weren't he and Mal supposed to be in Kenya pretty much that whole time? He wasn't supposed to have returned to London until November 19, and when he got back they went straight to Cavendish. So are there two Paul's?

From what I am starting to understand, FAUL started in France with Mal Evans, traveled from there to Spain, and ended up in Kenya.

I originally thought our Paul was scouting out France as a place to live after he was told he would be "retired" from The Beatles, but I am increasingly convinced that the rumors that he either died, was killed, or was critically injured on November 9, 1966 are true.
